Unfortunate, I actually like Sherman. Some light abuse is nice, but never too much and I like seeing nice stuff happen to him too. And the derp baby is cute as well, just needs a cork.

Foal = Baby  
Colt = Young Male  
Filly = Yong Female
 
Any of the terms would work, but since we have no idea what the gender of the little derp is, it’s best to just go with foal.
 
Also, the reason Sherman is being punished is because the little foal doesn’t know any better and it’s Sherman’s job to teach to it how to properly be a good fluffy. So, Sherman gets punished because he’s failing as a teacher.
