It was an actual thing in the show. Twilight was adamant there were no such things as curses, until she briefly thought Zecora had cursed them in Bridle Gossip, and then when it turned out it was just poison joke she was again all like “There’s no such thing as curses.” It wasn’t until King Sombra came back in Season 3 that the show said in no uncertain terms there really are curses :P

She knows pony magic, nature magic, and some potion and artifact usage. Then there’s curses, hexes, witchcraft, chaos magic, spiritual power, enchanting, summoning, sphinx magic, demon magic, yōkai magic, shadow magic, elemental magic, blood magic, the list goes on :D

No, I just came up with a design that resembles Twilight’s shape, so that it’d be indistinguishable as a shadow :P

So is Maud her shadow? If so, how did she follow her?

I picked that look since I wanted her to have an appearance that was different than Twilight, but would have the same overall “shape” so she’d look like Twilight’s shadow :D
