I really liked the original image’s concept of a full load-out format for Royal Guard armor. I posted it for the Nth time in the Royal Guard Mare Thread on /mlp/, but an “everything must be a mare” troll that’s been haunting the last few threads said it wasn’t a mare. Normally I don’t acknowledge that idiotic purist troll, but on a whim, I decided to take the challenge of reshaping this particular image into a mare, with as little redrawing as possible in order to preserve the sketchy feel of the original image. I probably spent way too much time (about two hours) mesh manipulating the head, neck and chest to a more mare-like shape, but I think I’m finally mostly satisfied with the result.
