In 2017-18, 27.000 people died of the flu in Germany. This year, the total death toll is lower.
People have been counted as having died of the varus, as in “they died of the varus while in a traffic accident”, because it’s assumed that the infection was a contributing factor.
I’m reading statements from doctors from Germany, the UK, The US, Japan, etc, that the measures being used are useless at best and counterproductive at worst.
In Wuhan, people are partying. In Sweden, absolutely nothing was done, and they seem to be doing alright.
And let’s not even get started on “super-spreader” right-wing gatherings, and harmless left-wing protests. Seriously, let’s not.
It all leads me to believe that there is at least something rotten with the official narrative. As usual.

O yeah, definitely. But I’ve seen some people go crazy with the hand-washing. One girl turned up to a Cub Scout meeting with bright red hands, she’d been washing them so frequently that all the outer layer of skin had been scrubbed off and the skin was starting to tear and develop pinprick bleeds. That’s just insane. (That level of skin damage from over-washing also increases the permeability of the skin and allows more germs to possibly penetrate)

No. If I constantly wash my hands like some sort of germaphobe, I risk not being able to build some sort of immunity to this and other such diseases via good bacteria and exposure.

Over-disinfecting homes and other commonly-used places in recent decades has caused a rise in children with weaker immune systems. Children are meant to play dirty and get covered in germs, that’s how they build natural immunity to stuff!

People will believe what they want to believe. You can only fix this through conversation, which many do not want to go through because it requires more technical and investigative measures than most people have. You can look at it as, most people generally have a correct source, but this source is a second-hand one, usually making it very difficult for you to produce the evidence necessary to convince someone who lacks evidence.

You can always apply logical razors, but this only really helps you identify likely and unlikely answers. You could attempt to teach these to an individual such as a hoax-follower, but surely this will prove just as much work in getting them to also apply them.

I’d argue that it’s best to let people run themselves into ruin, unless this is a person you care about more than the average person. The one true thing about all this is that you can only go so far on incorrect information. Correct information you can go on indefinitely.

I would’ve thought that it would just show a box with a spoilered warning in it though?
That’s what I always assumed would happen, but no, it just hides the whole feature box, both on desktop and mobile. I only spoiler about 18 tags and most of them wouldn’t meet the criteria for featured images, so that’s the first time I’m seeing this.

Two years in and I’m still learning more about this site.

Really? I don’t think I’ve ever noticed that (I don’t have many tags spoilered though…the only two really large tags I have spoilered are “Spikeabuse” and…“Flash Sentry”. :P)

That’s the first time I’ve seen a featured image with a tag I’ve spoilered. It feels really surreal not to see the featured box at all unless I log out.

Imagine only washing your hands in a pandemic.

Imagine for centuries how true that was - in fact they probably didn’t even wash their hands DURING the plague, given they had basically no concept of how infectious diseases are transmitted or what they even are…
