I’m not Italian, but my family always makes sure to have a lot of food and supplies on hand for the hard times, so when everything went crazy all I needed was a 1 jug of milk, some cat food and some onions… Now with no income I am doing just fine at least.

Ohhhh I see. Sorry. In any case, I hope the motherland is doing okay now… at least people should have beans and pasta, flour, and maybe polenta stocked up in their cupboards, fridges, etc. Real Italian food is very good stuff for times like these. My grandnonno seemed to instill a sense of importance regarding always having lots in the pantry. My grandparents always do. She says they always had lots of pasta and beans growing up. And hopefully the culture still prescribes not wasting anything… Nonno’s favorite line at the dinner table was “Make sure you eat every bean and pea on your plate.”
