I have to admit, my case is probably not “common,” since I’ve been a Type 1 diabetic since 1986.
But, in my experience, it took years of physical therapy (PT), numerous cortisone shots into each joint, and manipulation (performed by an orthopedic surgeon, while I was under full anesthesia) to get them moving again. Even then, I only regained about 80-95% of their original range. I’ve got a shoulder and hip that need further work, but that’ll involve a ‘scope, lots of cutting, time to heal, and even more PT. XP Adhesive capsulitis is a bitch, yo.
My advice: get regular exercise. It’s important to get into the habit of exercising in your 20s or earlier, because it’ll just be a part of your regular routine, and you won’t be trying to get a burned-out husk into shape. Much cheaper, less painful, and keeps your body toned & working right. :)
From it eroding a delicate film lining in your intestines, to damaging your brain, to messing with your mood, to rotting teeth, to putting a strain on your liver, to diabetes, to gangrene.
Kinda fortunately for me, sugar gave me a terribly uncomfortable skin issue (Psoriasis, maybe?) and I had little choice but to go without it most of the time. Wheat’s also an issue with me. If I go too far with sugar and/or wheat, I’ll have terrible Acid Reflux and the skin issue again. Ginger and Probiotics from different sources kicked all that out the door for me, though.
The big one is dropping sugar, So much bad comes from too much sugar.
If I ever get that, I’m gonna try healing it with some Ginger Turmeric Black Pepper Tea. I’ve read it helps joints well.
And if that doesn’t work, Dandelion Tea and Gelatin.
You might want to look into Lion’s Mane Mushroom Extract. I’ve been hearing good things about it improving memory, and I’ve been taking it for a few weeks or a month now. It did clear up brain fog that I had, and I’ve read that it can improve memory.
This is the brand I’ve been using.
I’m not sure about other brands, supposedly there are some brands that mostly just sell you rice powder.

Though I can understand this image; just look at Gene Ween through the years. However, he was an alcoholic. He’s 50 now, and he looks like he’s about 63.
Certainly explains why it feels like I’m going senile at age 27.
