It would certainly answer the question of where the human Sunset Shimmer is, although then we’d have to ask where the pony Sunset is.

Basically, it presents a theory regarding Sunset Shimmer’s origins that she was once an ordinary human girl who ended up in Equestria after falling into a natural portal by accident, turning her into a unicorn upon arrival. In other words…Isekai.
