Age: 16

Body/Appearance:
Oasis is slightly taller than the average height for a mare, and she’s fairly slender. Her mane and tail are both VERY long, as she says she’s growing it out to donate to Manes for Many. She will often braid it herself, but Fluttershy, Ambrosia, or Dovetail sometimes braid it, too. Because of her physique, large ears, and long eyelashes, some say she looks a little bit like a deer. She has very slight freckles on her face that become more prominent when she spends time outside.

Personality:
Though she can sometimes look or act demure, Oasis is actually a very social pony, but in more gentle and quiet way (not like Pinkie Pie-type social.) She loves listening to others and the unique conversations that can take place when talking to other ponies. However, Oasis sometimes gets too involved with the lives of others, and forgets to live for herself, often going to extreme lengths to help those she can.
Things that bother most ponies often don’t bother Oasis. She tends to see the best in ponies and gives them the benefit of the doubt. She sees beauty in everyday life and often doesn’t understand, for example, why a lot of ponies don’t like bugs or rain. She also doesn’t get ponies who are deliberately mean, and that’s usually the only thing that can make her mood take a turn for the worst.

Relationships:
Oasis gets along very well with her parents as they are very similar, though she is a bit more outgoing and will often try to get them to do more social things. Oasis (of course) helps them both when needed, usually without them asking, takes care of her siblings, and rarely has any issues (excluding her insomnia), so both Fluttershy and Big Mac feel very blessed that their first child turned out so nicely.
Oasis loves her siblings very much and enjoys spending time with him. She’s actually kind of motherly with them and gets worried if Ambrosia tries to do something outgoing or if Honeycomb hurts himself a little. They tell her she doesn’t have to be so protective of them but they enjoy spending time with their big sister, no matter how she is.
The favorite activity of Oasis is probably spending time with her friends, and she loves them as much as she does her family. She takes care of them if they’re having issues, and they watch out for her in return (as she can be a bit too trusting sometimes.) Oasis has been known to get them out of trouble just by being nice and using her words, as her mother did before her.
Oasis can tell that Valerian is still a little awkward around her, even though it was when they were very young that he kissed her. She tries to be especially nice to him, because she really likes him as a pony, but the harder she tries, the more he seems to push her away, and it hurts her inside. She feels really bad that she couldn’t return his feelings and just wants to be able to talk to him.

Abilities/Talents/Cutie Mark:
Oasis was actually the first of her friends to get her cutie mark, because she was quick to realize just how much her outlook on life helped herself and others. The desert oasis represents her calm disposition and ability to see beauty in the simplest things. She’s not sure exactly what she wants to do in the future (only that she wants to help others), so right now, she helps her parents and friends, and often walks around Ponyville so she can see how its other residents are doing.
Though Oasis is nearly always friendly and bright-minded, she suffers from occasional insomnia. Her parents are the only ones who know about this. She’ll often go outside at night if she can’t sleep, because she finds it more peaceful than being inside. When this happens, she’ll put concealer around her eyes and drinks some coffee, because she doesn’t want others to worry about her, but her friends do notice a slight change in her attitude.
