Wrong shitstorm?

Please stop playing the “mature person”. You can’t tame a fandom, much less on the internet. Just let them do what they want and beleive what they want. They’ll either end up liking the result and feel very stupid afterwards or forget about the matter.  
But…if this results in MLP ceasing to be what it used to be…mark my words…Hasbro will regret it. Can the target audience ride the internet like bronies do? Can they make shitstorms like bronies do?
 
Why do I have the feeling that this is Hasbro’s way to distance themselves from bronydom? For whatever reason: Twart influence attempts, cut potential inspiration for fan material, not wanting to be associated with brony tendencies, whatever. So they order to create a confictive canon twist, turning TS into an alicorn OC, so MLP can go back to it’s origins: a brand of toys with a show to persuade the target demographic to keep buying. Can’t blame them, its all about bits, really, yet it would be a let down. A let down that, if it happens won’t be taken lightly.

We can hope so. I’m not going to panic and assume that everything will be awful. But I’m not going to assume everything will be fine either. If Twilight does permanently become an alicorn, it will take phenomenally good writing not just in the upcoming episode, but in future episodes as well to make it work.
 
We’ll just have to wait and see.

I didn’t think Season 4 was ever actually confirmed yet, only inferred by sifting through financial documents from Hasbro & DHX (and that they were looking for writers after the point that Season 3 started recording). They sure haven’t made any official announcement.
 
That said, FiM needs to be the first MLP show to break the sixty-five episode curse.
