Oh, how I love watching people run around like chickens sans-head over something so simple. I get that it’s the first special to alter a main character so drastically, but come on, has Studio B ever fucked up as badly as you’re expecting? The worst I’ve seen is “not the best, but still pretty good”.

The fandom’s still divided over things that are even more inconsequential than this. (I.e. Mare-Do-Well) /mlp/‘s constant butthurt over anything not season 1 and EqD’s users’ stupidity just makes it worse.
If anything, this would be more likely to unite the fandom. Remember how much everybody imagined Canterlot wedding was going to suck? Remember how awesome it turned out to be?
What I’m worried about is how this may or may not fuck up headcanon/fanfics. Always sucks when somebody makes a piece of work like that for a show and the show’s canon accidentally shits on it.
