Personality:
Much like the father he resembles, Chocolate Cheesecake is a cheerful and expressive young colt. Like any foal, he is energetic, social, and has a zest for life. However, unlike most colts he has a very feminine sense of style. He’s a boy and feels fully secure in that fact, but he adores trying on makeup and would rather wear a pretty dress than a tuxedo any day. For now, his dress-up games are a secret that only his best friend Thunderclap knows about, and he’s quite sensitive about what others would think of his interests. However, in time Cheesecake will learn to not care what anyone else thinks of him, as long as he is doing what makes him happy.
Relationships:
While he loves both of his parents very much, Cheesecake is definitely closer with his father. There’s no doubt why he was partially named after him, as they look and act a lot like each other. While Cheese and Pinkie stay in Ponyville as much as they can, their job as party planners takes them all across Equestria and Cheesecake misses them dearly when they’re gone. Even then, he has no doubt they love him!
Luckily, Cheesecake’s sisters are just as fun to be around when their parents are away. Confetti is responsible but she also plays all kinds of games with her little siblings, including their favorite party pony game. While Cream keeps to herself a bit more than the other two, she is also a lot of fun and often tags along with Cheesecake when he goes out to play. And once he finally tells his sisters about his secret hobby, they’ll be just as happy to join him in dress-up games, too.
As the only one who knows about his love of feminine things, Thunderclap is Cheesecake’s best friend. In fact, she holds a secret of her own, as she has a more masculine sense of style than most fillies. She also likes to design dresses, expressing herself creatively while letting Cheesecake model her creations. They confide in each other the most out of anyone, neither wanting the rest of their friend group to know what they do. But once they do find out, they’ll be extra supportive in helping them rise to the top as the ultimate fashion duo!
Cheesecake has a strained relationship with his grandmother, Cloudy Quartz. While he feels he has to love her because she’s family, she is very vocal about her strict and traditional views which make him feel guilty for wanting to express himself differently. Most of the rest of his extended family are also quite traditional, but at least they are less vocal about it and seem a bit more open-minded. Cheesecake doesn’t want to care what any of them think, but it’s hard not to.
Cutie Mark:
It turns out Cheesecake’s dress-up games are more than just a hobby or a phase. He’s on track to become Equestria’s next top model, transforming the fashion industry and breaking barriers as the fabulous drag queen, Quesadilla. The glamorous crown and feathers that one day appear on his flank exemplify what a show-stopper he’ll be.
