Bruh, that wasn’t a good analogy. Because is there’s something we can be certain of, it is two things:  
-It’s going to be different than the start of FiM, given how the later seasons went. Which means there’s already a sour taste in a lot of fan’s mouths.  
-The designs/ads are the only thing we were given, and it’s based on the mane six with no animation preview or trailer.  
The only thing we could do is speculate and be highly skeptical of the new thing that’s coming.  
As for the analogy itself, we can still see and smell what the “food” is. The only thing we don’t know of is the taste. So we can make a partial judgement of the food as we’ve “experienced” it so far.

I 100% agree with these two comments.
 
Bronies, bronies this is how they are. They play their little games, none of them has even given Pony Life a single, or the smallest thing that is just as small as 1 strand of hair, an damn chance. I mean what is even wrong with people these days? Pony Life hasn’t even been officialy released yet. Just because the trailer wasn’t good that doesn’t mean the show won’t be good.
 
Even though Pony Life hasn’t even come out of it’s shell yet, you don’t have the right to already judge it and dislike it back through all the way to the Moon. Why do you need to criticize something so damn early? You don’t even know what it is going to be like. Just give Pony Life a chance already because I am tired of this shit, it is starting to give me an headache with you bronies screaming and shouting demanding the show to be better. This isn’t normal behaviour, this is like an child’s behaviour, which MLP fans need to catch up with and get a hold of, which then they will realize what they have done good and what they have done bad.
 
Now first off, I have a good way to start this. Imagine you are 3 years old, a toddler. Your mother is going to feed you baby food. You want to decide whether you are going to eat it or not. Pretend that one spoon she is holding about to put in your mouth, is Pony Life.
 
Now I will list up 2 options for you:
 
A: eat it
 
B: don’t eat it
 
If you choose A, you are an perfectly well behaved My Little Pony fan. This means that My Little Pony will continue as much as it can and will keep going to entertain and inspire other fans to make the perfect things ever. It is good that you give upcoming shows a chance that you don’t even know what it is going to be like yet. Reward goes to you.
 
If you choose B, you are an completely inperfected child. This means My Little Pony won’t continue as much as like it used to amymore and only slide down the hill. Why do you criticize and judge things early enough that it is not even out yet? You have no entire or completely idea what it is going to be like. Have mercy atleast somebody teach you some education. Don’t throw hissy fits, it is only salty. You’ll make an fool out of yourself. What if you criticize Gen 5 when it is not even out yet and it closes its doors? Yet My Little Pony will shut down and not even continue all because of you “well-taught” fans.
 
 
It is ridiculously stupid and wickedly dumb that the MLP fans need to be so strict like these over cartoons. Just stop throwing your shit for once. You know there are over bigger and real reasons to be sad, whine and complain over. Yet you have to cry over this? Go outside or take an shower. It is not even that of an huge deal. Child-like comments like these below us can also be made an example out of. I am not going to lie, Bronies have chips in their shoulders, which is not even good at all. Once those chips are cracked it will rip off their arms leading them into some serious bad mannered behaviours.

If McCarthy is in charge, that’s unlikely to happen. G4 as a whole was lightning in a bottle, and whoever was in charge fucked up with their hiring practices. The team they started with (two of the major players that I recall: Lauren Faust and M.A. Larson) are all gone, and the ones currently running it are likely to screw it up hard.  
Seems like history is just going to repeat itself, and we’ll see G8 rise to greatness from the trashfire that may be G5-7.5.

I really hope G5 concedes that making a show that doesn’t talk down to it’s audience is very worthwhile if G4’s 10 year success is any indication.

We have a point for comparison here though. This isn’t a full cast rollover and something new, it’s the same cast but in an arguably less-effort driven style. It screams of going from Teen Titans to TTG and should put a heavy dose of fear into the heart of anyone who witnesses it.

Remember when Equestria Girls was first revealed? Remember when the fandom collectively shat all over it, saying that it’ll be the FIM killer? And how they said it’s just “Greedy Hasbro Ruining The Franchise For The Sake Of Money”?  
And then it actually aired. And it managed to be just as beloved as FIM. Yes, it did take time for it, but either way, it still managed to gain positive recognition. It pretty much blew the neigh-sayers off.  
And here we are in a similar predicament. Everyone getting incredibly salty over Pony Life. Everyone blaming Hasbro for “rUiNiNg ThE fRaNcHiSe!”, and bashing others who actually want to give it a legit chance. Maybe Pony Life will be good, maybe not. But everyone gave EQG a chance, and it turned out well. Simply judging something for how it looks is no excuse. Besides, I feel hopeful, especially with how charming those short stop motion videos they released turned out.  
But no, we gotta go by the mindset of “old good, new bad” or “if you like this then you are not a true fan and just a mindless consumer”. Put that shit to rest already.

Take a look at the models. Does this look remotely like a product of any quality? No it doesn’t.
 
This CAN’T turn out good BECAUSE of how poorly it is constructed.
 
Does this really look like something that is going to have well crafted stories and characters, or does it look instead to just be a “lolzrandomXD” mess like TTG or any number of recent shows and reboots?
 
Does this look at all like something that is going to have a FRACTION of the lore and world we loved for 10 years? Does this look like it’ll inspire the legions of artists and writers to band together in a wholly unique community?
 
Or can you see that it’s a flagrant flailing cash grab for those of us who didn’t want to see FIM go and will settle for terrible parody of it in denial?

we don’t know if it’s bad yet. we haven’t seen anything from the actual show yet if it does end up being bad we just stopped watching it.  
and even if you just want a cancelled before actually knowing if it’s good or bad whining about it is not going to work it never does
