Actually, some hated it for fair reasons, like some disliked the Manes deceiving Dashie in a very elaborate way just to “teach her a lesson,” which some found a bit mean-spirited, and a bad way to teach a moral about, “don’t be egotistical.”
I don’t hate the episode, but I can kinda understand why some do.

No offense, but you sound like those people whom wanted to beat up Applejack for lightly rapping Spike on the head, (because he was rude) or wanted to kill Gilda for yelling at Fluttershy, and such.
not to me she wasn’t no one hurts dashie’s ego and gets away with it
