I don’t think she’s a bad writer. She just sucks at writing MLP.

I think of it as to, if some notices something is wrong, everyone calls them a troll. Brings in valid points, still a troll. Defending a writer’s lack of skill in a certain area? Protect their honor.
 
It’s like everyone has a stick their ass, one group questions why they have a stick up their ass, the other group tell them to shut the hell up and enjoy it. One group pulls it out and tells the others that there was indeed a stick up their asses, the other group calls on them, saying their full of shit.
 
One group is annoying but aware of flaws, the others are MORE annoying because of their ignorance.

That isn’t why ‘Mare Do Well’ was bad. It was bad for the same reason every other superhero cartoon is bad: It was fucking boring.

Merriweather Williams is not a bad writer. However, she probably, as a Spongebob writer cares jack for character development and focuses on slapstick and situation humor.

Man RD fans are annoying. Another pony is portrayed in a negative light and they find it humorous. When RD is portrayed in a negative light suddenly the writer is the worst person on the planet
