Your original name was a play on “authentic cadence”, a musical term that says that the next note played will be the next logical note on a particular scale, while Chrysalis played a “deceptive cadence”, which is where the next note played is not the next logical note. “Authentic” would then be derived from the other part of the term “authentic cadence”, meaning that the changeling king, as it were, would be the “deceptive” part.
Is this the particular reason behind the naming of “Prince Authentic”? Perhaps, and if not, it’s as good a reason as any.
