Awesome dude
What makes the YouTube removal of the comments section even dumber is that there are some videos out there that a few videos on YouTube that aren’t for kids, but have their comments removed and have the YouTube Kids sticker on them.

Joe Camel here! Just a friendly reminder that it’s #Kool2smoke, kids!
@O. Hancock
But what does disabling comments and playlists have to do with building ad profiles for children?
@ApplejackFan204
Boomer senators’ wives got offended after too many people proclaimed the truth that horses are sexy under the MLP reupload channels.
@AH96 @northern haste
I’m surprised no troll groups have taken the step of making super-racist comments by substituting ultra-woke language (a.k.a. substituting BIPoC for monkey)

Unfortunately it’s not just the “YouTube Kids” videos anymore that lost their comments. Since December, many videos that use copyrighted songs have their comments disabled for whatever reason. It’s not consistent so some videos still have their comments but I have seen a lot of AMVs on R rated content with the comments disabled because of this.

Solar Supporter - Fought against the New Lunar Republic rebellion on the side of the Solar Deity (April Fools 2023).

This is how a unicorn
@nightshroud96
I commented “that trumpet monkey is annoying” on a Jungle Book video, and when I refreshed, my comment was gone. I then wrote each word individually to see why, and monkey is the only one that was deleted.

Even if you’re allowed to comment, you can’t even comment “monkey”, because it’d be deleted in 20 seconds.

I love MLP. And memes.
But I hate COPPA, and ever since they did things to YouTube, I haven’t trusted them.
nightshroud96
Lunar Supporter - Helped forge New Lunar Republic's freedom in the face of the Solar Empire's oppressive tyrannical regime (April Fools 2023).

@ApplejackFan204
Which is pretty stupid honestly.
Literally just have the comments viewable for accounts(needing users to be 13 years or older to see) and thus kids won’t see those comments.
If a kid fakes their age to get on to see the comments(and ends up seeing some issue), then that’s on the parents rather than the website itself.
