The OC represented here was originally created for a researcher in Moscow who is studying the phenomenon of brony subculture around April of 2016.  
Likewise this image was originally created as part of a sticker pack in Telegram around the end of 2017 I believe.
 
I would guess therefore it’s simply a coincidence.

Dunno how to feel about this one. The OC I have has the same Cutie Mark just colored different. The original date of this image on Deviantart came AFTER the first image I have here posted. So it’s either coincidence or they copied it. I suppose it doesn’t matter really. Seeing how multiple ponies even in Canon MLP have the same CM(Though it’s really just recycled assets.)
