I have the same feel. So many beautiful golden and silver balloons are getting destroyed when I could rescue them and give them lots of love and hugs in the safety of my home.  
Not to mention firecrackers, which have no visual effects at all and just rattle poor animals with sensitive hearing.

And yeah, Shining should be there with her to have good clean married squeaky funtimes together. Maybe with a big climb-in balloon (provided they both wear horn protectors and she knows a C02 exchange spell) and a lot of smaller ones they can inflate together inside.

I got a reel of string and made a long balloon garland this afternoon to wrap around and frolic with. Trying to stave off depression thinking of all the New Years balloon drops where everyone just pops them instead of bringing as many as they can home for fun.
