I did see it happen to a random Pokémon video. It was a clip from the Mewtwo Strikes Back CGI remake that hasn’t been released in the United States yet. I haven’t seen it happen to other Pokémon videos but I haven’t really looked around much when it comes to Pokémon.

What’s next, Pokémon?

And didn’t even change that. So it’s both “for kids” and you need to also sign in to watch it because it’s for mature audience.

Oh yeah, I also saw a Happy Tree Friends video  
But it was only in 240p which wasn’t even really enough to see the guts.. could still see blood clearly  
So it’s not just MLP.. I’m not sure when the HTF video got changed, though

All of this could have been avoided if YouTube would have actually check what videos are made for kids and what scummy companies are really trying to attract kids with kid friendly characters looking innocent (like Spiderman, Elsa, etc) and making them do weird crap and videos that do use kid friendly characters but obviously not meant for kids at all like this for a big example.

Oh and they are inconsistent since some of them (both old and new) still play ads even after the other features were removed.

I don’t know at what point this was done but I’m going through tons of old MLP videos and this happened to the majority of them. It’s what we feared for months. Lazy YouTube just applied this to basically anything that mentions “My Little Pony”.
 
I still haven’t checked the damage to other franchises although I did see this happened to a random Pokémon video.

Actually, you can save video for later by clicking in the thumbnail in search or history (lol, fail)  
But, yeah, it’s stupid.. and I heard it’s also rated 18+? lol…  
no, wait, I just checked.. it’s not rated 18+ only  
yeah.. the amount of restrictions is retarded and makes no fucking sense why there are so many.. no comments? doesn’t make sense to disable for everyone but whatever…. all the other shit? just what the actual

Just checked again, the comments are gone and you can’t use the miniplayer because the video is “made for kids”. The amount of restrictions is insane.

Either that or a rumor that didn’t happen

Is this supposed to be an example of what could happen or something that actually happened? I see an “edit” tag but I’m not sure if that’s for the part that was blanked out or the whole thing is an edit.
 
Because if is, then basically no video in this fandom stands a chance. However I did notice that the comments and votes are still visible when I went to the video on YouTube. Not sure if this means they changed their mind on such things since they did say they were going to disable those in addition to monetization.
