They do have interesting story ideas, characters and concepts in the comics that I will give them credit for. But if the characters from the source material aren’t their normal selves, it just throws me off. That’s why I’m going to feel very strict about judging the Season 10 comics.
They’re the ones at fault here. They clearly want to make the comics like the show, but constantly mess it up.
They should write the stories around the characters. Instead they come up with the stories first and bend the characters to fit them.
Yeah. Even though I first thought the comics would be just like the comics and act as additional episodes. Guess I had my hopes up too high.
So are we in the wrong for wanting the characters to be more like their show counterparts in those comics or are the writers in the wrong?
Even though events of the show directly contradict the comics, both in short and long term.
Plus, for me, the characters in the comics are not the same ones from the show; they exist solely to serve the narrative, rather than vice-versa.
Storylines like Election and Equestria Girls Holiday Special would never happen in the show(s), as the characters there would simply never do what the ones in the comic did.
@northern haste
The comics are still considered optional canon to many, even these upcoming Season 10 comics. For me, they have to earn my respect for me to call them Season 10.
They’re calling these comics season 10.
I’m not against the comics continuing past show I just don’t think they should be calling it season 10
Edited
Well the comics weren’t canon to the show, so there technically isn’t a “season 10”.
Still wanted G4 to go on longer than what they thought was the right length.
Still G5
goes into another state of depression
nope
What?! I thought there could be a possibility for more seasons if the Season 10 comics do well!
And it’s being bundled into the Free Comic Day issue. Neat.
What I mean is I feel like a fan is probably gonna try to animate the entirety of IDW’s season 10 when it’s over.
I know
I`m saying that it might continue after the comics Season 10 ends
Pony life actually started already
False
Season 9 is the last animated season of Friendship is Magic, Season 10, which begins with this comic on Free Comic Book Day according to Equestria Daily will be the actual final season, then the franchise moves on to G5, or Pony Life then G5
Who say
Season 10? I hate to tell you, but I’m pretty sure season 9 was the last MLP Gen 4 season.
Yes
