When you see guys and girls, then only acknowledge the group as one of that gender, “guys”, that’s not gender “neutral”.
That’s gender bias within language as a result of societal preference. Same thing happens in languages other than English.
And I don’t care how many times you say it’s gender neutral.
When you a see a group of boys and girls you say “Hey guys.”
When you see a group of male and female bronies you say “Hey bronies.”
It’s gender-neutral.
