Unfortunately, I honestly do not recognize you, your name, or your artwork at all. We may’ve talked before about some site issue, but I’m one of the site’s head managers - I talk to a ton of people about this site on a weekly basis. I also have very shitty memory. So regrettably, I don’t remember a ton of people I talk to if it’s a one-off email or something. Don’t take it personally or anything though. Honestly, if I do recognize someone immediately, it’s because they’ve given me a reason to recognize them, and that’s not always a good thing.
 
Regardless, I definitely have not been reviewing all your uploads. I don’t even have the time to review my own watch list as much as I’d like these days (and miss so much good art because of it). Bigshot is extremely knowledgeable about the Community Collab, what is/isn’t allow, what the requirements are, etc. If he says something may be an issue, he definitely knows what he is talking about, and he is definitely working pretty hard to help as many people be included as possible.

The first thread is for the announcement of the 2020 collab, of which the guild lines, rules and on going discussions take place. There the OP post by joey should cover as much of the general queries you may have, but if not you can post your questions and itll be answered by a helper or Joey directly if it’s in too much of a grey area.
 
It’s also a place to say hi to other participates.
 
 
The second thread is where artists gather and volunteer their time to take free requests from users on this site, and draw the requesters character to be used in the collab. You’ll only be able to request one drawing however, as the helpers need to assist other users.
 
You can either post your request in the forum directly, or if their is a particular artist you like the look of, you can PM them instead.
 
Refer to the OP by joey, and see who are actively volunteering at this moment if you wish to go the latter option.

It needs to not be directly from pony town. Draw over the pixel base to something similar of a degree as this:
 

 
This was entered into the 2019 collab and was allowed to participate. The pony town character was used as a base for the uploader to draw over enough for it to be considered original art. It may still not be in the spirit of the collab, but it abides by the rules as seen here.
 
Alternatively we have a thread going here, where artists have volunteered their time to draw characters for other users. Either choice should serve to set this issue straight.

But Bigshot is correct - this would not be allowable as it’s a Pony Town image, which I consider to be “generated”

While true that I am not staff, and neither is Barhandar and that again Joey has final say in these matters, Joey isn’t able to check every single entry as it comes in. What might happen is Joey checks this entry after the deadline passes and this submission is not selected.
 
What Barhandar, myself and other users are doing, are following the rules and flagging possible invalid entries early to give uploaders and artists time to correct the entries and get into the collab.
 
Check my previous post again, as I already mentioned bringing joey into this to challenge my review and get his ok for it. As of right now, there are 2 pony Town tagged collab entries, one was for the 2019 collab and it was a tracing. Yours looks like it’s taken directly from the game.

As you do not appear to be staff, appear, I do not believe you can make such a decision. I have had Joey reviewing most of not all of my uploads personally, of their own whim, and am more than reasonably sure they have checked this image. Additionally, I have already had this re-uploaded to better and adequately fit the rules and regulations of the community collaboration.
 
The image you attached in your comment is a screenshot, cropped from the pony.town website, of one of my other uploads. It is not the contest entry, and yes the coat color is similar but I do not know how this has any relevance.

I have seen this with the collab thread and am giving it a look over. Reviewing your uploads has shown the below:
 

 
Looking at this and the one you have applied personal touches on dont show any first glance changes. Furthermore the tips of this uploads ears match the background colours of the linked image above. To me, this looks like it has been cut and pasted, edited to have a transparent background only.
 
I am removing the tags for the collab on this entry as this entry goes against the rules both on form and in spirit. If however you feel this is unfair, challenge this decision and request Joey to review. As collab lead, he has the final say in this matter.

This is an edited version of a pony.town creation. The creation was a template of sorts, multiple general and personal touches were applied upon such as proportions, coloring, sizing, cropping, shading, and restyling.

 
I’m no mod but I’m certain PonyTown sprites aren’t considered original art.
