Exactly. Not only did Captain Celaeno have an emerald peg-leg, one of the air pirates in Don Karnage’s crew had a more standard one. The four of them should be in this image together, although that would shift the time scale back to when the movie was released.

…well, to be fair, “deadbeat” would imply outright abandonment and either neglecting or refusing to make contact despite being perfectly capable of doing so, whereas Della simply did one of the dumbest things she could have done at the worst possible time (which should be no surprise given what we’ve already seen from her offspring), but then struggled to get back every moment afterwards.
