There’s nothing that needs proving, to be honest. You asked me to show you examples of why I felt these two had a chance of being romantic. You said I saw shipping where none was present. All I was doing was showing you the artist’s own depictions of these two being incredibly close friends. I added the bit about the horses and yes, about Lyrabon’s canon wedding because you seem to be discounting that as even possible.
 
It’s fine, I believe I at least showed you what I was seeing. It’s not just rose colored glasses, the artist does seem to be showing them as a very close couple, and while that’s platonic now, we again know where canon went. I still believe it’s not out of the question.

I just think that isn’t where the artist/writer is taking this. You’re the one trying to “prove” it, as well as that you’re the one that brought up breeding seasons to say that gay horses can have sex with those of the opposite sex, which doesn’t mean shit in a series where we have no reason to thing that seasonal breeding is a thing.

Why does that make it too bad? I’m not presenting evidence for a trial, I’m simply saying that in real life, horses exhibit homosexual behavior. And now, in canon, we’ve had a homosexual wedding. I’m again, not saying Lyrabon has to happen in a fanmade comic, but will it hurt you terribly to admit it’s a possible outcome?

Platonic love can be just as deep and strong as romantic, to the point where it can easily shift that way, given the right events. Anyone who ever fell in love with a best friend can attest to that. I’m not saying by any means that these two will definitely end up together, but knowing where the canon couple went, it’s not out of the question to say that these two might just go a similar path.

Liking stallions does not preclude also liking mares. In nature, mares pair with mares and stallion with stallions (it’s not common, but it happens) but breeding still occurs during seasons.

Oop, I just remembered a few earlier episodes though where Lyra was actively crushing on stallions or asking for Twilight to be her wingmare. It’s possible character development has changed them since then, but I do remember them. I also seem to recall Vinyl asking Spike if he liked Lyra in a love relationship way, which implies Lyra at least likes dudes.
 
The real one that is befuddling is Moondancer. She likes to make others feel uncomfortable with her comments, but she has shown signs to be into dudes and saying things that go opposite to that. She’s the real character everyone should be watching, lol.

I appreciate you sharing all these. I can see what you mean. Though they never say it’s more than friendship, it could always build up to more. But I doubt it though.
 
Based on your logic, we could say the same thing about Vinyl and Octavia in this series. Heck, for the most part everyone is pretty nice to one another. :) They must all love each other.

Almost every comic that involves them both has Lyra being a lovable considerate sweetheart, and Bon Bon appreciating that. A romance doesn’t always start with a kiss. Sometimes it’s someone so important to you that even the idea of them being with someone else makes you realize that you want to be with them instead.

It’s all up for interpretation but my first impression while reading this comic was that she had a look of concern on her face while thinking that but instead of just blatantly calling Lyra out, she asked her about the boxes to find out.
 
I do admit to liking the couple though so I might have misinterpreted it and there was no intent on the part of the comic creator.

I never said they had a full blown romance at this stage. Just that they show every sign of the same incredibly close friendship that turned to romance in the show. You cannot cheat when neither is currently considering themselves to be in a true relationship.
 
Basically, nothing that is happening in the comic is showing deviation from how they act in canon, so… for the moment, we can assume the odds are high these two end up together.

I think this would kill it than, since she isn’t concern with Lyra cheating on her, just her having a secret boyfriend. I think you’re trying to see shipping where there wasn’t meant to be any.
