It’s not just them being bullies. Tirek is an old man and Cozy is your average Pegasus filly. They needed the power boost from the bell and knew that they didn’t stand a chance without it. Chrysalis, on the other hand, is still able to fight which probably made her more defiant.
 
Not to mention that she lost more than any other villain. Before he second defeat at the hand of Starlight, she was the ruler of all Changelings. Now she’s an outcaste. She must be burning with hatred.

Nowhere near as well as the main heroes. When Cozy briefly became “Nightmare Cozy,” her statement made it sound like she was going to betray them, or force them to be her lackies.

I never got the notion that they hated each other. Sure they argued a lot but they still got along relatively well

I know some fans are mixed or divided on the villains fate, (but I don’t wanna start a debate about that) but as you said their petrified poses capture their last moments & personalities perfectly, and as Discord pointed out, because that these three hate each other (despite having to team-up together) there’s an irony that they are basically imprisoned together.

Their poses were all rather fitting. Cozy Glow the chessmaster type was caught completely off-guard, and was immortalized with an aghast expression, Tirek was cowering in the face of that happening, when all of his stolen power was gone and it was over, and Chrysalis, for all of the love she consumed, was immortalized showcasing the endless pile of rage and hatred she is.
 
I bet Tirek also had a massive amount of horror from the realization that his statue would be that of him in his decrepit form.
 
But yes, Chrysalis was the most badass of them all on that one, easily.

While I prefer Tirek & Cozy over Chrissy, I liked how she still tried to be a badass, while Tirek & Cozy were a bit more like cowardly bullies. Once a bully loses their power, they show their cowardly side, like when they’ve just been caught by their teacher.

Celestia & Luna were already pretty pissed-off at them for stealing their magic, and trying to kill them, blowing up half their castle, tricking/harming their little ponies, and such.

That was my thinking. They wew probably headed for Tartarus before, but Celestia would have had to take Chrissy’s threat to return seriously abd decided there must be no risk of them escaping.

So if Chrysalis hadn’t opened her big mouth, maybe they wouldn’t have jumped to turning them to stone?
