In Age of Extinction, where he’s a Marmon 97. I also have that voyager figure, as well(customized with more colors), and I guess it is actually possible to get the movie 1-3 body to transform in to a G1-esque flat nose cab if the toy could do it successfully without any kibble in either mode.

I also feel like I forgot to mention that they later cared less about proper scale & at one point bayformers Optimus did transform into a flat nose truck.

Well, yeah, the first non-flat nose truck Prime is actually also G1 Prime with his G2 Laser Optimus Prime toy.

Plus everyone knows that Animated is the best Transformers continuity.

Okay, let’s put this right here. In the concept of the Multiverse, everything is canon and the same time are not. They are just not canon to each other. G1 has its own canon and the Bayverse and Aligned continuity have their own canon. Watch Chris McFeely’s Transformers Basics video on Continuities here.

Honestly the scenario just sounds like somebody who used a bigger truck in order for it to make more sense for Optimus Prime to be a bigger robot. (Since the leader “needs to be big”.)
 
(Ya know, kind of like what they did for the Bay films.)

It having four axle to primes 3 and 3 seats in the cab to primes two and being wider then the care next to by several feet make close enough a stretch.
 
Also close enough only counts with hand grenades and orbital bombardment.

If you know your Transformers, you ought to know that any sort of sensible scaling doesn’t exist.  
A robot made out of five planes can be the same size as a robot made out of five cars & the size might be “almost as tall as a ten story building”.
 
Starscream is about the same size as Megatron & he turns into a jet while Megatron turns into a handgun.
 
More than one Transformer that’s turned into a motorcycle has been taller than one that turns into a car.
 
There’s one Transformer that turns into both a jet & an aircraft carrier.
 
A guy who turns into a boombox is one of the robot’s who’s bigger than average.
 
Even in iterations where they try to keep to a consistent scale they can’t help but have things collapse & compact more than they logically should be able to.
 
(Anyway, my point is that it being a really big truck doesn’t really negatively affect its value of being “close enough”.)

Lol close enough? That truck would be taking up a lane and half it is what they use to haul the screws and hull sections for ships. Prime would look at it say “Thats a big tuck”.

I mean it isn’t Transformers, but like it’d be entirely possible for the artist to just reference a truck that was “close enough” if it was supposed to be Transformers.

Ok no cybertroian in Hasbro history has been a Petter line style quad axle tractor trailer front. Trust me I’d have them if there was. While in one comic series Optamis was military heavy loads vehicle in world war two with quad axle that was a completely different body to this. So yeah not transformers unless OC. That said AJ is over compensating more then rainbow dash.
