(This scene reminded me alot of me and my friend returning home from BronyCon)
Artist Note: Not gonna lie, i know this did’nt turn out the best as it could have been. Yah it was a kinda rush job at the end and honestly im terrible at drawing feet, even dragon ones. But i still think it turned out alright.
“Dragon Dropped” was honestly my least favorite Rarity/Spike episode, and im really kinda sad this was her last centered-episode The whole thing just felt cringey, with Rarity acting about as opposite as the element of Generosity could act (after 9 seasons remind you).
The whole thing just felt kinda like a rich-spoiled brat complaining about not having her personal servant/slave around to, of all things, hold her stuff (she a unicorn btw). It just seemed so…off-putting…
While i did enjoy seeing Gabby again, i personally dont think she was completely necessary to the story.
It could have been equally interesting if it was about Spike after all this time maturing enough to see Rarity’s flirty-manipulation of him, and deciding she was never really gonna return his feelings, so he decided to essentially give up on his pursuit of her. And Rarity spending the episode comprehending whether or not she spent all that time controlling him because she liked having a free servant, or because she also has feelings for him aswell…
This is just my opinion, but I kinda think that would have made a more complex and interesting story, one that would have actually built on the characters in their series closer and potentially nailed-down the Rarity-Spike shipping before the series conclusion. (If they touch on this in the final episode, I have not seen the leaks so I would not know.)
Im sorry, but for me, just all around it seemed like lost potential. Definitely not the worst, but probably not gonna re-watch this episode again…

Honestly the episode could have been polished a bit more in my opinion and put in an earlier season.
My main issue is that this is the last Rarity episode. Instead of showcasing some amazing things she has done and can do, we get her being vane and needing constant attention. I don’t agree with the original posters want to change the episode that way they did but I feel like this episode should have been earlier. I mean we could have literally had an episode with Rarity’s parents. We could of had an episode where her parents might not have payed the most attention to her (since they are never in any of her flash backs) and we could have had her trying to be perfect or at least have some understanding about why she could act in ways.
I hated this episode because it had some weird inconsistencies as well. Grampa Gruff literally doesn’t care about Gallus but that is why Gabby is there…. to give Gruff updates… We have literally seen how Gruff treats Gallus earlier in the season…. and in the next episode….. Also how would SPike not have passes to Power Pony Palooza? I mean people I know who like stuff like that get passes. Another thing I hated is how she went dramatic in the apology. There is a reason she has never done that before. I don’t feel like I have to explain why though.
They think Rarity acted the opposite of her element when, in fact, she was extremely generous throughout the episode. You know what the opposite of generosity is?
Greed.
Rarity was not greedy. Greedy for attention, maybe, but that’s fuelled by her vanity and her need to be liked, character flaws she struggled with since the first season.
And they honestly think what they proposed there would be a better story? Just feeding into this idea that Rarity exploits Spike just for his ability to carry her stuff? And even more that she owes Spike her affection, and therefore, Spike should stop wanting to be around her if he can’t get into her pants? Sorry, no, that would be way worse.
Enlighten us oh WISE one…
