Day 1: Rainbow: Man, this necklace is awesome! Can’t wait to show it off!
Day 2: Rainbow: Huh, an egg. Sure does look lonely. Maybe I should keep it safe ‘til I can find it’s mom.
Day 3 Rainbow: There, now the egg is nice and warm. Maybe I should take a seat just to be safe.
Day 4. Rainbow: Oh I love you so much, dear. You’re my precious little eggy-poo.
Spike: Uh Rainbow, are you okay?
Rainbow: Of course I am, love.
Day 5 Rainbow: Aw, aren’t you precious my lovely little baby? Yes you are, yes you are!
Day 6 Rainbow: There, now I won’t lose you my precious baby girl. I’ll watch over you forever and ever.
Spike: I have to get to Fluttershy quick before it’s too late!

Probably Fluttershy would be a griffon. Perhaps.

The necklace. The same thing happened to Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie and Applejack.
