Nah, of course not. I’ve seen lots of fandoms still have fans sticking around and making content, even after their respective series is finished.

The best thing you can do in most of these sort of situations is to report and ignore those kinds of troublemakers. A lot of them just want attention and drama, so talking to them can just oftentimes makes things worse. Then, if anything, they’ll either stop and change, leave if they get bored, or get banned if their bad behavior is extreme enough to warrent a ban.

but as I said, we hope the most extreme parts of the fandom would be gotten rid of. Not just the trolls, or the extremists, to me, I’d like to see others die down, like the extreme shippers, or the ones who take memes to the point people are sick to death of seeing them

It did get worse for a while but I honestly think that it did get better after a while, minus the occasional hiccup here and there. Regardless, I think the good people in the fanbase outweigh the bad apples.

Yes. Equestria was in the leaks but keep in mind those were early concepts. They could change in the future. That being said, I doubt they’re going to get rid of Equestria. Take Hasbro’s other big franchise, Transformers. G1 and Beast Wars set up a lot of things that ended up staying in future series’ lore, locations included like Cybertron. I think the same likely will apply to Equestria possibly appearing in G5 onward.

Aha, ye of little faith!! Lo and behold, from the leaks, Equestria is alive and well, as are major locations in it.  
The big difference is that rather than being a world like ours, it is filled with these portals that connect Equestria to the Dragon lands, Gryphon land, and a home for the pegasi, unicorns, and earth ponies. Equestria is kind of the “hub” foreverything.  
Basically, G5 is a big AU of G4, rather than wiping the slate clean of the world and characters and beginning anew.

Actually, there is no guarantee that Equestria will even exist in Gen 5.
