Nonsense. There’s nothing stopping them selling “collectable” statues like this at the same time as the cheap-n-cheerful toys. Look in a comic shop and you’ll find fancy, expensive collectors’ figures of, for example, Batman, but you’ll still see the kid-friendly Batman action figures in toy shops.
