She was trying to win it by sciencing it out. But, thanks to the Flim Flams, she got broken over it: all of her theories and book smarts weren’t enough versus the greed and cheating of the Flim Flams. When Sunset called them out on it, they finally relented. So, yes it wasn’t about the parakeet; it was about restoring her friend’s faith in science and math, and it was worth it for the Twiabetes.
