I also like to think he gets royal guard armor for a hypothetical Pony Up. And I was thinking…you know how before his name was revealed, he was called Brad right? Well, an anagram of “Brad” is “Bard”. I was also thinking that if he ever gets/got equestrian magic, he channels it through his guitar, which powers up the others through his music, which is what a Bard does.

Only the one Flash ends up with has been infused with equestrian magic (like Juniper Montage’s mirror or Vignette Valencia’s smartphone)!
 
And at the same time former Crystal Prep principal Abacus Cinch comes into possession of equestrian magic and decides to exact vengeance on Celestia and Luna for the events at the friendship games. When she arrives at CHS and attacks, Flash tried to protect Celestia and Luna and the magic activates, causing him to “pony up” into a cross between a royal guard and Iron Man…Iron Sentry!
