People acting like she was a poor misunderstood mother trying to feed her kids in fanon based off of her debut just didn’t get it. She was enjoying the suffering she caused, and she put a notable amount of emphasis on power.
 
Chrysalis caused a world where Fluttershy was going to go through with killing Twilight and Spike under the suspicion of them being a changeling, because she was ruthlessly hunting down every last pocket of resistance to cement her absolute rule, in her alternate timeline in S5. I repeat: Chrysalis caused Fluttershy to be corrupted, at least partially.

I’m glad, though, she was completely loyal to, and actually took her character to the next level. She was a defiant, selfish, psychotic tyrant right till the end, and is now immortalized for it. Great ending for a great villain.
 
Everybody who wanted redemption for her are literally asking for bad story writing. There was nothing to redeem. There never was.
