A few decades difference in medical tech was the difference that allows me to type this. I’d be dead is not for that few decades advancement.

That’s a very interesting idea. Though I wonder if CHS’s campus has a strong enough signal.
Medical tech doesn’t seem to be much of an issue. Equestria only seems a few decades behind us there.

That still doesn’t cover movies, TV, video games, and most modern entertainment.
And that’s not counting the really important things like fast air travel with jets and medical tech.
If nothing else, it’s one more for the idea pile.

This is my headcanon as well. Sunset would singlehoofedly find a way to develop the Ponynet.
She’d probably use every string she could pull to spur technological development to the point where she had the Internet again. I doubt coffee would be an issue; Donut Joe’s name probably isn’t short for Joseph.
