The kind of galaxy brain take that’s entirely composed of antimatter, and therefore is capable of wiping out the logical takes made of regular matter, due to antimatter’s very existence being antithetical to the presence of matter, and vice-versa.

Not even close.

The thing is Rarity has always had this problem when it comes to Spike. She doesn’t return the romantic interest she knows he has, but she still values his interest because it bolsters her confidence. His affection for her makes her feel valuable and loved. I’ve always suspected that when his interest ever turned elsewhere she might miss it and try to keep it, and that seems to be exactly the direction they went with it. It’s 100% consistent with the way she has viewed Spike throughout the series. It’s a character flaw, to be sure, but that doesn’t make a character bad, it makes them complex and interesting.
 
Remember when the ponies were allowed to have heavy flaws and act kinda shitty towards one-another without people whining about how imperfect they are? I do. I miss that.

Any adult who gets jealous of a kid hanging out with another kid, someone who actually cares about him and does not use him, deserves to be DRAGON DROPPED!

How is this worst than all the other times ponies have grabbed the jerkass ball? If it’s because Rarity’s normally so good about avoiding it does that mean she averages out to less worst? Or if you already didn’t like her why is this crossing the line?

Doesn’t matter.

funny thing I’ve been thinking for a couple of weeks, I feel that the FiM universe could very well be set 60 years earlier so it’d be like the 50’s for them. it may not be obvious but our 50’s would be very different to their 50’s. although it doesn’t really explain how most modern things sometimes occur earlier than the setting or how the timeline in the EG universe would be a few decades advanced than the pony universe.
 
a bit of a ramble I went on but my point is the setting of the show feels like it’s already 60 years earlier from now rendering AJ’s comment at this point moot.

The fact that she was jealous of a kid hanging with another kid, who treats him better, says otherwise, okay not 60 years..but 20 years.

Rarity is an independent business owner who goes mining for her own product’s materials.
 
She’s a bit prissy and selfish in this episode, but I feel “set women back” is kind of unfair to an entrepreneur like herself.
