I haven’t seen that for years but I just thought of it yesterday… wow.
Thats bullshit no matter how you cut it, cartoons are made to be over the top body language facial expression included, thats in the DNA of the fucking medium and furthermore this show will never reach the point of Spongebob,all of you are all just old ,jaded and sad. I can make the same “silly face bad” argument about the old seasons

Basically. I’ve yet to watch the episode, myself, but the images spell it out for me.
“meme face” is just shorthand for “using silly expressions as the primary joke/attraction as a cheap substitute for more subtle, careful writing, similar to how action movies might substitute special effects/spectacle instead of plot”.

You dont even notice it when it’s in motion,you really have to pause the episode and that’s called “cartoonish exagerrated expression” not “meme face”,not everything is about fucking Internet subculture
