Not to nitpick, but I think it’s technically a “Mid-Atlantic” accent, a cross between American and British accents. And it was first created in America, which would technically make it an American accent, so technically, she is American. Of course, that’s my opinion on the matter.
 
(My gosh, all this usage of “technically” - I’m starting to sound like Mudbriar.)
