How in all fucking hell does this go against the entire series?

Actually, this episode was written by Kim Beyer-Johnson. My God, you can’t even be bothered to take two minutes to simply Google something. But of course you would turn this around on Josh Haber just so you have a convenient excuse to bitch about him some more.

I admit that i often get so carried away with my timeline headcanons that i straight up ignore many canon ‘facts’ about it when they stop making sense (there’s a reason why it practically graduated to a AU), but given the alternative is having the Six collapse from exhaustion and/or being unable to do their day jobs having an adventure every day for three months or less…

Headcanons fill in the gaps left by canon, and die when canon contradicts them. If you cling to an headcanon after it’s been killed by the show then it’s not an headcanon, it’s delusion.

Nope. No way, Celestia wouldn’t give a speech like that in that case, nor would she do the other speech at the end. Just accept that the story is inconsistent and stop putting it on a pedestal.

There’s nothing to say that that Summer Sun Celebration was only one year after Episode 1. it could have been two and Luna didn’t participate in the first because she wasn’t ready yet.

Seasons one through three take place in less than a year, because in season 4 we get the first SSC since NMM’s return. Tell me in what world this is worse than that.

There is a difference between “well that doesn’t seem consistent” and “blatant lore rape that goes against everything”.
 
It shows the writer in charge of the episode has NOT done ANY previous reading into the series or characters and at most, read a wiki profile akin to “spike is a buttmonkey, all manner of bad things happen to him and no one shows him any concern. Use him for constant pratfalls.”

Do you really still expect this kind of consistency from the show? It was never there, and things were always going to be worse the longer it went on. Be glad of the justification we got, if you’re here it’s assumed you have already accepted the mediocrity of mlp. It seems like a weird thing to get angry at when the show is riddled with far worse things. It is certainly a problem, but making such a fuss over it is cherry picking when you have issues like multiple winters in a single year and the like.

Dragon quest and gauntlet of fire, Garble and the other teens also engage in all manner of laughs, chortles and chuckles. No uncontrolled flames even in an environment where wild bursts of flames are obviously welcome.
 
Triple threat, Ember shows no uncontrolled fire other than her sneezing.
 
So we have bouts of other dragons being around who don’t exhibit flames while laughing in previous episodes.

Again, they addressed it. It’s not something they do uncontrollably, it’s a laugh they choose to use and have control over. One that Spike never uses, because it’s dangerous and you risk setting things on fire with it.
