reminds me of a fic I saw where Celestia made up the whole Nightmare Moon thing because she forgot HOW to bring Luna back after she banished her for some silly slight. Luna was like waiting for her sister to bring her back, ending each day on a hopeful note, until she started going crazy. “She’ll bring me back tomorrow, I’m sure, a week is long enough right?”
