Well, there’s also something to be said when it comes to separating the art from the artist. Plenty of people still listen to Michael Jackson’s music, even knowing what he did. And that just one example.
If it’s decent art, I think it’s completely fair to appreciate it. If the artist is an asshat, well, that just sucks. Just look at pop music. More than half of the performers are awful people who think they’re too good for this sinful Earth xD .

While I understand where you’re coming from, I must say that’s not a good mindset to have. Just because someone can create art that is cute and wholesome, it does not represent them as a person, and you’d be a fool to jump to such a conclusion without getting to know them personally first.
Some of the best, most skilled artists can be some of the most horrible, manipulative, and toxic people on this planet, I’ve had the displeasure of finding this out for myself with a few of this fandom’s favourites. don’t let your guard down just because their art is cute.
