Description
Emerald asks if she needs any help and when Joyride says no, he just sort of sits outside on the porch and waits, taking in the late afternoon sun.
Ten or so minutes later the door re-opens, and Joyride appears in a completely different room. This room is completely black with crimson red drappings hanging from the ceiling and draping down to nearly the floor. In the center of the room is Cherry’s skull sitting on a rug, also crimson red. There are eggshell white candles set in threes surrounding the skull.
Joyride drags the colt so that both of them are sitting in front of it. She then casts lights her horn, and a red symbol blazes on the skull. It’s a tree with a crescent moon behind it, and Emerald recognizes it as Cherry Chiffon’s cutie mark. Out of the skull rises some dark purple smoke, and eventually forms itself into a face.
“Cherry Chiffon?” Joyride asks.
“Yes, that’s one of my names. What do you want? Leave me be…” She says, looking between the two ponies.
Emerald asks if she remembers who she is, and how and why she died.
“I was escaping. I took refuge near a cave and was attacked by some sort of creature. That’s all I remember” She says dourly.
Emerald asks if she knows anything about the Whiterwater Monarchy.
“I know quite a bit yes. I was a spy you know. At least I’m assuming you know. I can’t imagine why you’d do this otherwise.” She responds with a sigh.
