As children, many dependent people are encouraged to rely solely on authority figures for direction and approval, and on reaching adulthood, are unable to rely on their own beliefs and actions to function independently. Including being unable to establish a sense of self worth.

Am I the only one who thinks this “Twilight is Spike’s mother” crap is stupid? She’s barely older than he is. He has the hots for one of her best friends.
