Yeah. I would never see myself enjoying that. MLP FIM has a charm to it and takes its audience seriously while this. THIS! Guh I don’t want to talk about it.

Well, crisis averted, I guess. Good thing they didn’t find MLP:FiM… (in b4 spoken too soon…)

The premiere had so many problems and clearly took cues from MLP to attempt gaining an alt. demographic. Somehow they got Amy Keating Rogers in on it, and I think the writers were trying to make the material work throughout the first episode; but the lack of coherent setting and meaningful character interaction ruins any chance it had of becoming the next MLP. It’s basically another kid’s cartoon, but in 3DCG.
 
Remember last decade when 3DCG cartoons had an interesting aesthetic? Now, it seems to be what Flash to animation before MLP changed the game.
 
I think they tweaked that girl since that screencap. I recall one from the premiere, and she was wearing a baseball cap and looked significantly less like a mannequin straight from the Uncanny Valley.

aaaah yes… the child of nightmares… so many momments I will never watch in/with this show…
