Yeah, her generosity has been shown as being one of her biggest faults just as much as her strongest virtue… She’s too generous. She’s not just too generous to play Scrooge, she’s too generous period. She’s been shown to be compulsively giving. It would be hard to find her believable as Scrooge. Twilight could work because she tends to be extremely cynical. Even Spike could work better, of course he’s already Charles Dickens (the narrator). Her compulsive giving fits with her having obsessive compulsive disorder though. She seems to be tormented by thoughts of others finding her useless and is never satisfied with her own work. She seems tormented by the idea that something is still very wrong with whatever she’s created.

Unless this is HOW she became the element of generosity in the first place.

My thoughts exactly. It just really does not work.

Just an aside here. The living embodiment of Generosity is probably the one pony who SHOULDN’T play Scrooge. In fact the only pony who fits the bill to be Scrooge is Blueblood.
