This isn’t a bad idea, but it sounds like “Baby Cakes,” only its Spike taking care of animals, and hi being the butt-monkey (which they have downplayed a bit this season, and would be a shame if he relapsed).
 
But I have a feeling it will be fun to watch anyway!

WTF!? This sounds like very bad fanfiction. So Spike is going to star in a comedy episode… so this means that probably Spike is going to be portrayed as a butt-monkey loser…

I hope the Spike episodes this season won’t be as bad as I fear. The little guy is a very sound character and they haven’t done him much justice in his own episodes so far.

Feelings… uncertain. This sounds like a comedy episode, and attempts at comedy with Spike always either fall flat at best or are uncomfortably unfunny at worst. Still, the writers have pulled change ups on me before…
