All concepts of ‘ideal men’ were based on loathsome people. Time allows loathsome origins to be forgotten.

Objectivism does not remotely promote such a thing. Almost exactly the opposite in fact. Indulging yourself at the direct expense of another is considered reprehensible within Objectivism.

He should care about it because he can understand it. This is for the same reason that we label people who kill dogs and cats for fun as evil - its a creature that is less than you, but it still feels the extreme pain you are putting it through.
 
You have taken moral relativism to its illogical conclusion of allowing every single entity to define its own value of good and evil, thus rendering the words good and evil simply meaningless. And yet for some bizarre reason, you are trying to stick to this position.

Any sane form of morality as applied to a society places the valuing of the amusement of the self over another sapient individual as morally unjustifiable, because valuing your own amusement over the safety and well being of another individual within a society means the breakdown of mutual respect that forms the basis of any society. Thats how we know that Ayn Rand was insane when she came up with Objectivism.

@Ripple: And you can’t claim that Discord simply doesn’t understand Pony’s enough to know that what he’s doing is hurting them. He understands them effectively enough to psychologically break 5 of them, and to try with the 6th. He knows full well that what he does causes pain, suffering and misery, and yet he does it anyway cause it amuses him, and thats all he cares about. That is pure evil.
