Description

The next step twards making the world 20% cooler is a matching set of Rainbow Dash pointers! This is actually a pair of pointers, the lightning-rainbow cuttie mark is the pointer you use to click things and there is a second animated pointer that matches it for you to replace the waiting/buisy animation with! Now when you wait for programs to load you can blast a few sonic-rainbooms and hole in the cloud instead of watching that boring hourglass. I can’t imagine anyone that likes those hourglasses

OH! Please do not mind the terrible pixelization and annoying framerate of that preview animation above this description. You will find the cursor animation has way better visual effects and even includes an alpha channel so the edges of the rainboom are not so sharp and you can somewhat see through it! It really is nice, I downloaded a completely new cursor animation program just for that! (and new gimp hates my old plugin ) Go ahead and give the real cursors a try before you decide based off that ugly preview! Both files should be available in the zip download to the right so hurry up and try them! Read below if you need a bit more help

Istallation:
  1. Be sure you are using a Windows operating system or if not can still set a .ani file as a pointer.
  2. Download the RainbowDashCursors.zip file to the right of this description. (don’t copy the worthless .gif preview image)
  3. Unzip the folder extracting the two .ani files (be sure to remember where you put them)
  4. Windows 7 and many other versions you simply right click on the desktop and choose “personalize” Option.1 Then on the left is a “change mouse pointers” option. Click that, then choose the normal select pointer, click “browse..” button and navigate to the folder you placed the pointers you just unzipped. Choose the cursor, then repeat that process after chooseing the “Busy” pointer and choose the waiting animation for it. Click “Apply” and your pointers should be changed. You can always change back to the normal pointers by choosing the “Use Default” button later.
1If you could not find the mouse pointer options or personalize shortcut (older versions of windows may differ) try opening your control panel, then “hardware and sound”, then under “devices and printers” you should see a mouse option. Click that and find the tab labeled “pointers”

Feel free to ask if you need more help or would like to request other pointers. These are usually pretty fun to make. I could probably make a neat one for Rarity for example.
