Screw Loose spent some time as a carpenter that had an accident and suffered from trauma due to her physical recovery and personal troubles with confronting her talent as a mistake since she sustained an eye opening injury.

Screw Loose was forced to question her own destiny and in the world of Equestria, the cutie mark holds a lot of power. Just look at the village Starlight was leading before beinh reformed.

Now, she is on a vacation to discover new ways to embrace her, still, natural talent in carpentry.

Totally all headcanon, grain of salt.

It’s not unheard of IRL. Some people’s names seem to be fitting to their death (a photographer named Blackburn died in the Mt. St. Helens eruption, for example,) but this may not be a rule unless they believe in it.
