Dark colors don’t brand a Mary Sue, the story does. Considering she was never given a personality in the two seconds she appeared in, she isn’t a Mary Sue.
 
And why do I only see people whining about her? Thunderlane is a pretty dark colored pony as well, and people love him. Heck, he’s shipped with Rarity!

Whats wrong about dark color schemes?  
when i played with LEGO Bionicles i didn’t care wich color they had.  
octavia has less color and is why more serious.
