The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@ROTHY

I actually liked Season 2. It gave us an incredible handful of antagonists (Discord, Iron Will, Flim and Flam) and made the slice of life episodes more interesting. Hell, I even liked Mare Do Well, due to my psychotic hatred for Rainbow Dash.

That’s an interesting comparision for another reason, which is that Spike and Grunt are opposites in so many ways. Grunt was created as the perfect warrior, while Spike was hatched for studying. Grunt’s purpose is to make things die, while Spike lives to help others.

Spike’s version of Grunt’s loyalty mission would have him meet the other krogans, give into the blood rage and rampage across everything, before deciding all the violence is meaningless and turning his back on the krogan.

Having a Changeling teammate would be the coolest thing.

You know, I just realized, Spike is a lot like the Teammate Grunt from Mass Effect. They’re both members of warrior races who were born artificially and know nothing of their species. Imagine if “Dragon Quest” went like Grunt’s loyalty mission. It would have ended with Spike killing a gigantic Quarry Eel, then putting a bullet between Garble’s eyes.

Damn, that was a waste of an episode.
